IB MATHEMATICS Topic : Complex Numbers – Solving Complex Equations Involving Quotients

To solving a simple equation containing quotients for a complex number z, clear all the fractions and simplify to obtain a polynomial inIf the result is linear or a quadratic, you can then use standard techniques.
Example: Solve
Clear the fractions to obtain
Multiply out the brackets to obtain
Collect like terms. Terms withmove to the left hand side and everything else moves to the right hand side.
